The Month of Mauz...My Radio is Picking up Morocco

Pulse 8 was a project of David Harrow (keyboards, vocals, percussion, synth bass), Jah Wobble (bass, synth bass, vocals, percussion), & Justin Adams (guitar, vocals, percussion). These three chaps would soon morph into Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart

"Radio Morocco" & "Yassassin" originally were featured on the Nation Records (19 All Saints Road, London W11 1HE) compilation Fuse-World Dance Music in 1989. The Pulse 8 12' single was released on Nation Records that same year. The bonus tracks are from the Hidden Gems Nation WAV files issued in 2018 unless otherwise noted.

"Radio Morocco" is an early example of proto-Goa...

  4. FUCKING FANTASTIC!!! - Fabolous - Spectacular !
I did not see this before.
You rock. I didn't expect that you would pull this one out.
I put Radio Morocco on my list as remihder to myself to search for it.
It has been one of my iost effective secret weapons in my Dj sets for years.
Togheter with Transglobal Underground "Temple Head", I got both 12" as promotional copy (fresh out of the press) when I was at Nation Records office in London when I was producing the first EP of Technogod (on Nation Records).
Back then 1992) Nation Rec was a minuscule label with zero budgetc and TGU were unknown. For nearly one year I was probably one of the 3 djs off the coast of UK who had this nuclear stuff ...
I listen to it today at least 5 times already, it was 25 years that I dind't play it ... but it sculpted in me and it soubds like I know it.
Saying Thank You at this point would sound almost offensive.
Once again you are the master blaster.

  5. This is the very first release of Nation Records: NR001, Trans Global Underground "Temple Head" is NR004 and Technogod "Cola Wars EP" is NR005.
Nation Rec became a milionare label and now is no more.
On Bandamp they are selling all their succesful releases, on a sub catalogue label called Hidden Gems of Nation there are also all the more oscure and unknown releases of the beginning. Actually I found it searching for Radio Morocco (I did not buy it tho).
    It is here : https://hiddengemsnation.bandcamp.com/album/radio-morrocco-pulse-8
I post it because on that page there are useful infos about Pulse 8 (David Harrow, work with Adrian Sherwwod, Youth and Jah Wobble).
I reccomend also YAB YUM -UZMA -HARRI KAKOULLI release featuring 2 remixes by Andy Weatherall:
    https://hiddengemsnation.bandcamp.com/album/yab-yum-uzma-harri-kakoulli
Also The UNSPOKEN WORD -JAH WOBBLE AND THE INVADERS OF THE HEART:
    https://hiddengemsnation.bandcamp.com/album/the-unspoken-word-jah-wobble-and-the-invaders-of-the-heart
And with my surprise there is also the (very unsuccessful) first EP of Technogod:
    https://hiddengemsnation.bandcamp.com/album/cola-wars-technogod
but the review on the page is epic:
"A great ep with some very thoughtful unpredictable idea's , worth the ear and then connecting the timeline of other bands that came after them to realise maybe they were just a bit a head of their time."
    Good times.
