Smiling Faces, sometimes

Don’t really like to get into the political thing, but…

It’s just that I’m really sick of the Republican philosophy of ‘Just Lie, they won’t know’.
Started with Dubya, Karl Rove, & that ilk. They just took it from esteemed Nazi propaganda
minister Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels & hyped it up in this instant sound-bite era.

Romney & Ryan wouldn’t know the truth if it came up & bit them on the collective ass.
Obama might not have fixed things, damn, this boat’s been leaking for many years, but give him a chance. No better way of making sure the Mayan 2012 prophecy comes true than electing a Republican.
Those rich fucks know yhings are going to shit, but if they can just grab the reins one more time,
they can make sure they drain all the coffer that have anything left in them before blaming someone else.

Here a little something from the Sacramento News & Review:

"Robin Hood in reverse

Here’s what you should know about the Romney-Ryan budget Plan: It doesn’t do what it claims to do, which is reduce the deficit.

In fact, it won’t even balance the budget in the next 25 years. But it will devastate services the poor
& elderly depend on, such as Medicare, Medicaid & food stamps. & increase taxes
to the middle-class while cutting taxes on the wealthy.

You think Mitt Romney’s 13.9% tax payment is too low? Under the Romney-Ryan plan, it would
be less than 1%. That’s because the plan eliminates taxes on capital gains, including the so-called
“carried interest” of investment profits, the source of most of Romney’s vast wealth.

In other words, the plan is Robin Hood in reverse, a con game that, in the name of prosperity,
takes from the poor & gives to the rich…"

Just something to think about as the elections (i.e. possible Armageddon) draws ever closer.

Also, here’s something from Sacramento’s own to listen to as it creeps up…

Enjoy,

  1. Quite depressing prospect, isn't it? Let's hope it doesn't happen in November. I don't think I will be able to bear it if it does.
Missed your posts - so glad to hear from you again! <3

  2. Same to you & likewise.

    'Is it because he's black?

The question of whether race fuels opposition to President Barack Obama has become one of the most divisive topics of the election. It is sowing anger and frustration among conservatives who are labeled racist simply for opposing Obama's policies and liberals who see no other explanation for such deep dislike of the president.

It is an accusation almost impossible to prove, yet it remains inseparable from the African-American experience. The idea, which seemed to die in 2008 when Obama became the first black president, is now rearing its head from college campuses to cable TV as the Democratic incumbent faces Mitt Romney, the white Republican challenger.

Four years after an election that inspired hopes of a post-racial future, there are signs that political passions are dragging us backward.

"We're at a tipping point," said Susan Glisson, director of the Institute for Racial Reconciliation at the University of Mississippi. "But I don't know which way we're going to tip."

Glisson knows that many conservatives disagree with Obama solely because of his policies. "But I am also quite certain that there are others who object to the president because of his race, because they have a fear of blacks that is embedded in our culture," she said.

Her conclusion is based on something called "implicit bias"— prejudices that people don't realize they have.

Studies show that due to longstanding negative stereotypes about African-Americans — which give such false impressions as most black people are dangerous, unintelligent or prefer welfare to work — many people harbor anti-black biases yet don't even know it. Such unconscious biases, the studies show, are present in people of all backgrounds, not just whites.'

  5. what if he's black and completely incompetent? we're supossed to re-0elect?

  6. to anonymous,

can't believe I have to explain this, but here goes...
if "he's" completely incompetent, then he shouldn't be re-elected. what does "if he's black" even have to do with anything?
but if you're referring to Barack Obama, is is anything but incompetent. considering what he was burdened with when he became President, & the fact that the Republicans flatly stated that they would work against "anything" he tried to accomplish (I wish he had come out in favor of oxygen, then the Republican's could have stopped breathing, but...), his list of successes is impressive. that it takes time for things to improve & that he has not accomplished everything he set about doing is no surprise.
but to simply ignore the lies of Romney & Ryan, to support them simply because they are white is obviously the RACISM that lives at the heart of the Christian Right Wing Fascists.
Take your SLAVER mentality & cram it.

  7. Dude! The Republicans are the ones who fucked things up in the first place! Mitt the half wit represents Wall Street and the banking industry. He is Wall Street for 'Pete's sake'. The Republican controlled congress has done nothing but obstruct this President! Actually, they have done nothing, period. It's a no-brainer, if you make less than a quarter of a million dollars a year; or you make this figure and more, and don't mind paying your fair share, vote for Obama!

  8. to Anonymous II,

obviously your not the previous anonymous. thanks for your words.
President Obama was asked if we can survive a Romney regime.
He stated that 'we as American's can survive a lot, but we want more than to
survive, we want to thrive. For anyone not yet sure about Mitt Romney, I suggest reading GREED AND DEBT by Matt Taibbi in the previous issue of Rolling Stone magazine. "How Mitt Romney * Bain Capital staged an epic wealth grab, destroyed jobs---& stuck others with the bill"
