Grenada







Leroy Carlton Gabriel, was born on August 8, 1969 on the island of Grenada. Since early childhood he showed a great interest in music, in singing mainly. As an adolescence, he began to sharpen his vocal skills singing with various sound systems in St. George’s. He recorded several solo tunes & several working alongside David Dog in the Mount Zion Studio. At that time he changed his name to Leroy Onestone.


In the 2002 he went to Spain as singer with the group Roots Amala to perform at the Aldajah Reggae Festival, sharing the stage with reggae superstars like Sister Carol & U-Roy. He went on to appear at various other reggae festivals; Tariff Reggae Festival; Entresures; Marbella Reggae Festival; getting to know legendary artists like Alton Ellis; Max Romeo; Eek-A-Mouse; Burning Spear; Junior Kelly & many more.

In 2006 Leroy recorded his first full length effort, Now & Then for Cañas! & Jahvy’s Indica Sounds label.

Becoming a proud father, & settling down in Paradise (in Saint Andrew's Parish, Grenada. in the eastern part of the island, between Grenville & Dunfermline. He has taken the name Daddy Onestone & released this fine disc.
