Wrapping up Some Rabid Fish for the Holidaze

These gifts wrapped specially for my dear friend Jonder. I hope all your fish are mad.

Pescado Rabioso was one of many short-lived bands helmed by singer-songwriter Luis Spinetta, who many consider to be the godfather of Argentine rock. He rose to fame in the late Sixties as frontman of Almendra, an experimental band that dared to rock under the military dictatorship of General Juan Carlos Onganía. Spinetta would continue writing & performing audacious guitar songs until he died of lung cancer in 2012.

Pescado Rabioso was: Luis Alberto Spinetta - guitar & vocals; Osvaldo 'Bocón' Frascino - bass & vocals): &  Black Amaya - drums. In 1972 Carlos Cutaia joined the group as a keyboardist while David Lebón replaced Bocón for the recording of their first album Desatormentándonos.

Their second album Pescado II was released in 1973. Due to production problems with the record company, the band called it quits. However, that same year Artaud came out. It is really a Spinetta solo album but is credited to Pescado Rabioso.
