Portugal.The Man is American indie band formed in Wasilla, Alaska in 2004, now based in Portland, Oregon. John Baldwin Gourley & Zach Carothers attended Wasilla High School together & in 2001 started playing music together in the band Anatomy of a Ghost. After moving to Portland, line-up shake-ups occurred. Drummer Jason Sechrist joined & is a pernament fixture. The current roll is: Gourley; Carothers; Sechrist; along with Kyle O’Quin - vocals, piano, & guitar; Eric Howk - vocals & guitar; & Zoe Manville - vocals.
