Dubtember 12

Today's offerings are Dubly Beloved Scientist & Newcomer to NSS Delroy Witter.

Everybody surely knows Scientist around here. He is my preminent choice as heir to King Tubby's throne. He burst onto the scene in the mid 70s with a reckless mixing style pushing even the boundaries expanded by King Tubby's wild extravaganzas. Born Hopeton Overton Brown, he began his career as an engineer at Studio One, then soon after at Tubby's in the late 70s as the protégé of one Osbourne Ruddock aka King Tubby.

These two offerings have Scientist teaming up with Dubiterian, who is Marc Richard Brehmer of Germany, a Dub producer & melodica specialist as well as owner of Dubiterian Records.

Word, Sound, & Power's line-up was Sly & Robbie, Al Anderson, Mikey Chung, Robbie Lyn, Keith Sterling, Uziah Thompson, & Noel Simms. After Sly & Robbie began touring with Black Uhuru in 1979.
