Musick that Needed Work - R: Renegade Soundwave

Renegade Soundwave was formed in the late 80s in London by the trio of Gary Asquith, Danny Briottet, & Carl Bonnie. They were pioneers in electronic music who combined punk ethos & industrial techniques to Dub/dancefloor music

Of course I have mostly their more Dub influenced releases. 1990s In Dub was seminal in merging Dub with electronic & rave stylings. Three of the tracks are Dub reworkings of tracks from Soundclash: "Pocket Porn Dub", a remix of "Pocket Porn"; "Holgertron", a remix of "Traitor"; & "Black Eye Boy", a remix of "Blue Eyed Boy". "Recognise & Respond" is a Dub mix of the RSW single "Cocaine Sex". The remaining six tracks are new compositions for In Dub

  4. Absolutely love RSW. Still have these and Soundclash on vinyl, albeit somewhat worse for wear these days.

Here's another band, much like Xmal Deutschland (hope my rampage the other night didn't disturb you!) that i've heard too little of, too long ago. Time to put that right, eh?
