VA: pt. 10 - Big Body Parts

Here's an experimental electronic compilation based on manipulation of speech recordings. The title comes from a quote by Brion Gysin. 

This release was done toward the end of the operations of Big Body Parts. Only a small portion of the copies were distributed by BBP (mostly to contributors). The remaining printed pieces went to Anomalous Reocords in 1993 where the remaining copies were distributed, in a variety of hand-made packages using the same materials.

    Nice one mate. This should be interesting, as i've been interested in vocal manipulation ever since i first heard Alvin Lucier's 'I Am Sitting In A Room', which blew my mind.

I am recording the sound of my speaking voice and I am going to play it back into the room again and again until the resonant frequencies of the room reinforce themselves so that any semblance of my speech, with perhaps the exception of rhythm, is destroyed. What you will hear, then, are the natural resonant frequencies of the room articulated by speech.
