This compilation came in the 154 page Bananafish 'zine #12.
The bands that were featured in that issue all contributed a track to the compilation, something to listen to while you read. Interesting mix of bands not usually readily found.

When I get up in the morning, I always look forward to checking if there is a new NSS post and if it's something for me. This one definitely is, thanks a lot, Nate!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with FlaccusMUC there - there's no better way to start the day! (Welll, apart from a pint of black, honeyed coffee, that is.)
ReplyDeleteYou must be another early riser. Man, I sleep in at least until 9, course I'm an old lazy sot. Having my coffe right now. Thanks, brother.
DeleteThe older i get (now much closer to 70 than 60) the earlier i get up. There's nothing i like better than those few hours between 5.30 - 8.30, listening to music, checking the 'overnights', as i call them - seeing what you and others have posted, my friend - reading a good book and yes, the all-important pint of coffee. Best start to the day!
DeleteFor some reason I still like the late night hours. I usuall hit the sack about 3am. Those hours after the rest of the crew beds down until the wee hours are my most productive. The hour of the wolf.
DeleteMerci.RF.
ReplyDeleteI notice you've become quite the regular about these parts. Really appreciate you taking the time to say merci. It means a lot.
DeleteMan, you must get up early. It must be 5am or 6am (which one? I'm not that good with time zones). Glad to provide some morning musical entertainment. Thanks, brother.
ReplyDeleteAnother early morning (6.30am) and now I've listened to the whole album, I can tell you that there is indeed plenty that has caught my ear (Golden Climax Twins, Nihilist Spasm Band, Iancu Dumitrescu ...). I'm now checking out your Golden Climax Twins post. If you have any more stuff from the artists involved ... Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteGot some Climax Golden Twins set for an upcoming post, soon as I get through these compilations.
DeleteWell, that's something to look forward to. Thanks a lot!
