Fab, Trip 13

Perfume Tree were originally a group of disc jockeys from Vancouver, Canada working out of the University of British Columbia's campus radio station, CITR. Their live shows were a blending of Throbbing Gristle's style industrial music, Dub, & hip hop. The core trio of Pete Lutwyche - samples, guitar, beats; Jane Tilley - vocals, guitar; & Bruce Turpin - mix, samples got together in 1991, taking the name Perfume Tree. Their blend of industrial, hip-hop, & Dub with female vocalist was a near perfect duplicate of the basic template of UK Trip-hop.
