Massilia Sound System is a reggae band from Marseille, France, formed in the early 1980s. The band's name is derived from Massilia, the traditional Occitan name of Marseille. Their decision to sing in Occitan was inspired by hearing the music of Jamaicans singing in Jamaican patois. Their debut album Parla Patois came out in 1992.
For Marseille London Experience, MSS teamed up with Mad Professor & the Robotiks to explore a new style & reach a broader audience.

DeleteTrying to keep a perfect record. Enjoy.
DeleteThere's a Massilia Sound System track I've been Soulseeking for many years with no success. It's the "Version Remixée Par Adrian Sherwood" of their 2001 single "Y'A Des Fois". No Mad Professor involvement, just taking advantage of this opportunity to ask if anyone has it.
