On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Outstanding Debts...Playing the Burroughs Bill

Sometimes its hard to dig into the pocket & drag out what it takes when the Bills come due. I never seem to have that trouble when it comes to the Burroughs Bill.

Something about that gravelly voiced old curmudgeon just makes me smile. I alway walk away from playing the Burroughs Bill with some heavy ideas rattling around my noggin. Makes me feel good to be a Johnson & know there are still a bunch a folks out there that aren't going to put up with the no-good shits that can’t mind their own business.

This one is kinda different from the usual that I share.

Here's an interesting one. Häxan - Witchcraft Through the Ages is a 1922 silent film by Benjamin Christensen. It utilizes a series of dramatic vignettes to explore the scary, gross, & darkly humorous lore of the witches of the Middle Ages, featuring grave robbing, torture, possessed nuns, & a satanic Sabbat. It was censored in many countries at that time for its graphic depictions of the occult, torture, nudity, & sexual perversion.

In 1968 the film was released with an eclectic jazz score by Daniel Humair played by a quintet including Jean-Luc Ponty on violin & Daniel Humair on percussion. It was dramatically narrated by William S. Burroughs. This is the Un-OST. So sit back & be scared...OoOoOoO!!! Or find a copy of the film & listen while you watch (this is the 77m version).

Outstanding Debts...Playing the Laswell Bill

It's the first of the month...the vultures are circling, they smell fresh blood.

The debt collectors have been hounding me like wolves around a wounded elk. It's been a long time since I played my Bills. I always have three Bills to play, my Nelson Bill, my Laswell Bill, & my Burroughs Bill. I was playing them on a regular basis, but recently funs have been tight & I haven't been doing my dootie.

So for the next three shares I'll try to get caught up by playing all three Bills. I don't want my credit ratings to tank.

I guess I'll start with my Laswell Bill.

Back in September 2022, Bill was stricken with medical issues (go read "Help One of the Good Ones" here if you're not familiar with his problems). He has not been able to perform or produce others since then. It has been quite a financial burden. So I want to make sure I'm not taking any geld from Bill's pocket. Therefore I'm playing the Laswell Bill with a compilation of tunes that I find appropriate.

Laughing Sam...for Jonder

Starting off this month with a leftover from March centering on the suggestion from a Frenz of NSS.
Here I'm going to serve up a share for one of my longest-suffering Frenz around here, jonder.

Since October 2022 I've leaked some tracks from Bukowski in Dub. My friend Jonder of jonderblog Jokonky blog has been a big fan of the album. Last time I shared a Bukowski track (December 2024) jonder sez:
"Looking forward to the sequel, Dukowski in Dub."

Jonder's such a jokester.

But here's the first track...
