On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Slinging tuneage like some fried or otherwise soused short-order cook. Embiggening the earholes

Centeneray WLFC

Fitting in perfectly with the last two months worth of items I recovered from Siblingshot On the Bleachers & Digital Meltd0wn is this treasure from We're Late for Class. I've followed WLFC ever since I first started NSS back in 2007. They are still going strong & just released their 100th album.

We're Late for Class is an improvisational psychedelic college collective made up of Cats & Kittens who are so busy working out their improvised jams that they're often later for class, all for their own & then our entertainment.

I am proud of the fact that this is the only blog that I have everything they ever shared & then some. Previously on NSS they can be found here & here.

All their greatness can be found here including jam sessions, party tapes, various releases by Art Jackson’s Atrocity or The Manipulators. They're all free at 320Kbps or in anyavailable lossless formats (WAV, FLAC, AIFF, etc) over at bandcamp for $1.

Their latest, the BIG #100 is called Steal this Download & is free in any format. WLFC sez: "To steal Steal This Download at Bandcamp, there's a "name your price" option. But all you need to do is just input "$0" and it's yours. We did this so you don't even have to cough up your email address for a freebie. After all, Abbie Hoffman never demanded your email address, so why should we? “

The Act You've Known For All These Years

I've featured the great We're Late For Class musickal co-operative here before. Well here's their latest...

Get it while you can. Destined to be their first deleted release. They originally made this for their own amusement, then figured, hey... why not share it? This is a psychedelic mash-up using only tracks from The Beatles' experimental solo releases. Every sound you'll hear is The Beatles (and whoever appeared with them on those albums). As a future press release should wildly claim, "The Beatles - As You've Never Heard Them Before!" If only they'd all just gotten along. That's the premise, anyway. Mashed by WLFC, January 2010. Please post this anywhere, so it can't be easily eradicated. Link back to them & they'll whisper your name in bonged reverence & dedicate a bowl to your existence. The Reviews Are Already In... "The psychedelic follow up to Magical Mystery Tour" - Rolling Stoned "The Beatles were never this heavy!" - Mojoe "Smoke 'em if you've got 'em!" - Spun "The best opera yet written!" - Hit Parader "If only they'd all just gotten along." - We're Late For Class

Enjoy, NØ

We're Late for Class

Another Collection (2009) We're Late For Class We're Late For Class is an improvisational psychedelic college collective who've been posting free albums on line for over 2 years. Another Collection is their 40th. 2-CDs, 142 minutes, of uncharted improvisation & drug fueled excess, including a seance with Jim Morrison, a musical romp with O.J. Simpson, a homage to producer Jimmy Miller, the theme song for a low budget cable comedy sketch show, one too many accidental nods to Hawkwind & stoned tributes to Ali, Guess Who guitarist Kurt Winter, Pink Floyd & whatever was on the box that given weekend. It's all culled from their previous 19 releases (#21-#39). Last year's #20 A Collection features highlights from #1-#19. WLFC is also prone to 20, 30 & 40 minute space jams, but didn't have the space to include any this time. The best part? It's all free for the taking. You can find We're Late For Class at any local hash bar or at their blog We're Late For Class. Herd Mentality by We're Late For Class
