On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

May: I Come Again - Something Wicked

Most recently (April 10) I shared Transglobal Underground - Psychic Karaoke here.

Although I had shared Natacha Atlas & Neil Sparkes (both of TGU), I had never featured the collective. Got the expected warm response to this great group, so thought I'd finisn off this month of revisits by one of TransGlobal's all-time greats...

Transglobal Underground - Bakpacking on the Graves of Our Ancestors (1991 - 1998) 2xCD,

  2. Nicely mate. This will make a most welcome addition to my TU collection. Such a great band - they take me back to my heavy smoking days. Superb through headphones!

    1. If you're just adding this one, I think you'll really like it. One of my favorite TU releases.

I mostly listen to everything through headphones. I kinda listen to music continuously & try not to drive the rest of the family crazy. They like when I play through the stereo but just not as constantly as I.

    2. I recently treated myself to a pair of Sennheisers. Not ridiculously expensive, but really good sound nonetheless. Like you, music's more or less a constant with me. I was astonished at the change - having the sound directly in my ears completely refocussed me, and made it a much more vital, personal experience. Even though i live on my own, i use them a lot now.

    3. Yeah, you can listen as loud as you want & act like nobody's home to the outside world. Really sweet sometes.

I have the same style headphones that I've had since the 1970s - Koss Pro4AA. Whenever they die I just replace them with another set of the same. Not really nostalgia, they are just the sound I know.

  3. NØ thanks for taking us back to the sublime fantastic fusion era of the 90,s....these guys along with many more British bands took by storm the entire European venues and festivals....Most of their releases are highly recommended.
