On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

  2. How can I compare. Last few days saw some ofmy all-time favorites by ACR. Knife and Du, it could only be topped by Criplled Child, which is not on single, not in competition. Again the version is the decider for me. Shamen's Jolly Roger instrumental is an exsessively used acid track. And only on 12'' . Shame, man, you only have the cd. Points to ACR.

    1. It was up to the individual teams how they played the game. Looks like ACR just came on strong & kept getting stronger. Thanks, Richard. I'll adjust the Board.

  4. Come on, I mean is this even a competition here? ACR nails this one right out of the gate. The only thing that would've come close is if The Shamen released the instrumental MBM remix as a standalone track.

    1. All teams submitted as they chose. ACR either just played the game better or just have over-all better material. The Singles are what they are. I'll update the Board.

  5. It's an absolute no-brainer tonight; ACR takes the win.

The others aren't even trying. Utah Saints giving us easy listening recycled dancefloor noise, Dreadzone with some sort of sea shanty - giving us 6 mixes doesn't make it any better! The Shamen as least give us an instrumental mix (as listenable one at that) to give us a break from the dreadful toasting from whoever is the voiceover featured in the other tracks.

ACR on the other hand give us four proper tracks from early in their career. The first 3 tracks are versions that I'm unfamiliar with. Production and transcription from vinyl do the tracks no favours, but each track is bursting full of ACR magic; funky, unique and quite often quite clumsy; the reason why I've collected their albums since the 1980's.

  6. Thanks for this labour of love, and for all the great work you do. I'm going for ACR, all the way. They have an extra something that the others can never quite match - Donald Johnson's drumming.

  7. Funny how everyone is going for ACR today. Same for me, they're the only pleasurable listen here. There's no competition today really...not in the same league... My 3 cents!
But... Thanks, you made me appreciate ACR, whom I didn't knew and who stray from m'y usual tastes... Because they came out so strong against the other bands in this whole contest. (But.. collecting Utah saints ?¿? That's beyond me...)
    Thanks again, Nathan !
