On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

  2. Plenty to go at today and a quick flip through the tracks reveals an absolute cracker from A Certain Ratio. I'm trying not to jump the gun here, but the rest will have to be exceptional to anywhere near... Lets do this properly though.

The Shamen. I'm not 'getting' The Shamen. I suspect I'm just not a Techno person.

Dreadzone. I'm no fan of football and have never found a song about it remotely appealing. Sorry Dreadzone.

Utah Saints. Uninspiring start but gets better with the third track and finishes with a great mix. The DJ Misjah mix is classic Acid - my favourite-est House.

A Certain Ratio. Four tracks that I'm familiar with, but versions that I'm not. "Bootsy" is also on the Album "Force" but is played at a slower pace on the single. "Inside" is played slower on the Album than the single. I know the track "The Runner" but can't find it in my collection. Four excellent classic mid '80s era ACR tracks.

A clear win for A Certain Ratio today.

    1. Thanks, That Bloke. The officials required an even playing field today just for you. Sounds like you found it more to your liking. Excellent. I'll add your score to the Leader Board.

  3. I agree with That Bloke -- ACR is the best of today's matchup. All of the four songs are enjoyable. "Inside" is probably my favorite. Any one of the songs from the ACR EP sounds better than today's offerings from Dreadzone. Shamen, or Utah Saints.

  4. ACR gets my vote here for all the reasons already mentioned in the comments. I got excited for a second for Utah Saints, until I realized this is not Itch-E & Scratch-E, whom I am a fan of. Annoying when similar named bands in similar genres operate at the same time. I agree that the DJ Misjah remix is pretty solid.

  5. Itch-E - Australia, Itchy - France. Maybe a translation thing. ACR definitely strong here. I'll update the tally. Thanks for following along.
