The recording of System Breakdown began in January of 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic hit New York City. After the pandemic hit, the recording was halted. Nevaris AC began writing new lyrics that reflected his anger at the Trump administration. The band returned to the studio in the summer of 2020, finishing the album with the new material, giving the record a more political tone.
This is Loud Apartment's second studio album, System Breakdown, It's the first with the current lineup.
Here Loud Apartment is: Will Bernard - guitar; Nevaris AC - voice, electric piano, organ, congas, & percussion; DJ Logic - turntables; Bill Laswell - bass; Peter Apfelbaum - saxophone & flute; Lockatron - drums.
The album was produced by Bill Laswell. created at Orange Music in West Orange, New Jersey.
