I've done two mega-shares of the great Woody Dumas' C'est la Mort catalogue. While generating those shares I gathered a couple items by bands on C'est la Mort that were released on other labels.
The first is by one of the top-shelf C'est la Mort bands, Area. This is their debut release, a cassette on Office Records from 1986, two years before they would join up with Woody...

The next is from M-1 Alternative from 1988, three years before they signed on with C'est la Mort...

The M-1 Alternative record is real GOOD. Never seen it around.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.

Thanks, brother. Hope things are going well for you down South.
DeleteAs a side note Area's guitar player put out some fantastic solo instrumental albums out under the name Lanterna. If you like the Edge and Michael Brooks guitar style I highly recommend the early Lanterna albums. Even met Frayne in Seattle at a show uber nice guy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads-up. I believe I have Highways by Lanterna. Need to dust it off & give it a re-listen,
