On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

And Some of the Rest

In 1990, just before the start-up of the Blues Explosion, Jon & Christina added their chops to Columbus, Ohio garage band the Gibson Bros.

The following year saw some Heavy Trash. Heavy Trash is Jon Spencer & Matt Verta-Ray, On this all-star outing Dallas & Travis Good provide guitars & organ, the Sadies do their alt-country thing, Sean Dean & Simon Chardiet play upright bass, Mike Belitsky, Phil Hernandez, & Yebo provide drums & percussion while Andrew "Strippy" Raff adds the occasional saxophone. Jon & Matt write, mix, & produce as well as play all backing instuments & doing all backing vocals.

Finally, here's a brand new one from Jon: Jon on vocals, guitar, synth, organ, percussion; Kendall Wind on bass, vocals, guitar, piano, organ; & Macky Spider Bowman on drums, vocals, percussion. Kendall & Macky are more famously the rhythm section of Woodstock's punk powerhouse The Bobby Lees. If you took the antagonistic nature of early White Stripes, add Cramps psychobilly freak-outs, sprinkle on Captain Beefheart & Fleshtones rowdiness, slather with some Southern Culture on the Skids trashy fun & you might be getting close to Jon's latest outbursts of hollering, drooling, & sexified crooning.

The link to this brand new release is a stealth link in the above paragraph...
