On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

While this MEGA thing has me listening to Born Against at volume 11, thrashing around my own private Hidy-ho, I thought I'd spare you all the mind-numb I'm utilizing to just cope & post up some visitor requests that have been piling up. My filing system is about as organized as the rest of my mental faculties so I just grabbed a few random slips of cardstock I'd hen-scratched some NØ shorthand all over & thrown on my desk (so called).

Here's the first ones I came up with:

Various - Dry Lungs I

Various - Dry Lungs III

Red Lorry Yellow Lorry - The Singles 1982-87

The Girls - Live at the Rathskeller 5.17.1979

The decryption codes are in the comments. If you're having issues downloading, read the MEGA MESS post. Try one of the growing list of suggestions in the post or in the comments. If you want me to do something about it, I can't hear you. "Murder the Sons of Bitches" is screaming through the air, peeling my wallpaper & I don't really care right now. Shut the fuck up & pass me another 40oz.

MEGA MESS

Lately I've started having problems with files uploaded to MEGA.

They were perhaps the last bastion of file sharing for this blogger, so we'll see what the (near) future holds.

The access problems seem to be random but quite widespread. If anyone is having problems accessing files from MEGA, please let me know, either here or on the original post & I will do what I can.

Enjoy while we can,

Here’s a note from a friend who’s been researching the problem:

It's not the links to your uploads that are not working; it's that some web browsers have started classifying certain sites as malware in order to block file sharing.

Another option to bypass this roadblock is to use a download manager program, where you copy the link from your browser into the program, and the program downloads the file you want without going through the browser.

You can download Mipony, one of the free download managers mentioned in a comment on your blog today (as-is it includes a bunch of unwanted add-ons that you have to remove with programs such as Malabytes).  Someone on the Exystence website kindly posted a "clean" version of Mipony without the add-ons here.

Note: For anyone with a bit of initiative, some savvy, or just the desire to DIY...If you take the link designation, add !, then the decryption code provided, you can more directly access the files you desire & I can keep splitting the information between the link & the comment code, thus as is said, fly beneath the radar, as I have been successfully doing up to this point.

Example - On the recent Bill Nelson Chance Encounters post, I right clicked the link & COPY LINK LOCATION,

which then gave me this     https://mega.co.nz/#!tJYETBwb

I then looked in the comments & got the decryption code for Album One - The Angel,

which gave me this     l-msn1n-0nEwkJ3ZapgtA6tkBsjC2wMx5OuK7v4EDLk

If I combine the link, !, & the decryption code I get the following...

 https://mega.co.nz/#!tJYETBwb!l-msn1n-0nEwkJ3ZapgtA6tkBsjC2wMx5OuK7v4EDLk

which is a direct link to the file.

Now you try it.

Ancient Future

Futuro Antico is a pioneering World Music group.  After the demise of the group Aktuala, Walter Maioli teamed up with Riccardo Sinigaglia, a keyboardist & theoretician in musical intonations & Gabin Dabiré, a singer, guitar player, & composer from Burkina Faso. The aim of FA was D'ai Primitivi all'Elettronica, which they released in 1980. On this Opus they recruited a number of musicians from India & Africa for the recording.

The following are three untitled tracks taken from a live show in the early 80s.

1st Gen Punk Rawk from Ozone City

Previously I posted up some old-school punk from Texas. One of the things was the Cottage Cheese From the Lips of Death compilation. One of the songs was "Soldiers of a Pure War" by Mydolls.

Mydolls formed around 1978 in Houston, Texas under the creative wings of Dianna Ray & Trish Herrera, soon joined by Linda (Bond) Younger. After several attempts working with various auditioning drummers failed, Trish's cousin George (Jorge) Reyes joined the band.

After the 1981 release of their first 7'' Nova Grows Up, Mydolls went to England, met Mayo Thompson & Red Krayola, hung out at Rough Trade Records, & did a BBC Radio on-air interview with John Peel.

Mydolls appear in the 1984 Wim Wenders' movie Paris, Texas as the band in the bar scene shot in Beaumont, Texas, with Nastassja Kinski & Harry Dean Stanton. The band traveled to New York City to attend the U.S. premiere at the N.Y. Film Festival. They played the after-party at the Danceteria.

They have performed shows with bands such as Minor Threat, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Poison 13, Big Boys, Ragged Bags, The Cramps,  & Stickmen with Rayguns. In 1985, Mydolls played their farewell gig. Recently they have regrouped & play shows & benefits around Houston.

Chance Encounters

Damn, I'm ecstatic to have my turntable back. All I can add to the following is, I performed a Ritual to "Evocation of a Radiant Childhood". It went swimmingly, so…hey, practioners, you might try starting there. Now I'll leave it to a real expert…the artist...Bill Nelson.

According to Sir William hisself:

"The music presented on these two albums marks the consolidation of several years of musickal & philosophical practice. Almost every piece was conceived during moments of intense stillness or 'magickal vacuity'.

For this I acknowledge the influence of the late Austin Osman Spare, whose techniques for creating 'automatic drawing' has found a sympathetic resonance in my own work.

Of all the music I have made, this is, perhaps, the most personal & yet the least demonstrative. Attempting nothing & existing purely for itself, it is, nevertheless, a practical music, ideally suited to the occultist in search of ritual atmosphere or serene meditation.

With such a purpose in mind I offer this work to my fellow initiates as a testament to the Gnosis & a confirmation of The World Within."

What an ASS

Just got my copy of Armand Schaubroeck Steals – God Made the Blues to Kill Me! (#248 / 750) 10″ single. The package includes the 10″ single (Side 1 featuring the “Strat mix” of the title song, Side B the "330 mix" of the title song, both 13:11 minutes long) plus a signed CD with the bonus song "Slip Away", a postcard of the famous 'holding switchblade' photo, & a limited edition ASS God Made the Blues guitar pick.

It is the first release from Armand Schaubroeck Steals in over 30 years. The single is a teaser for the upcoming full length LP.

The title song is a thirteen-minute blues opera about a guy going to & returning from Vietnam.

Rev. Norb sez:
"This is some genius, epic shit…It’s sort of like if …Eugene Chadbourne could have a long, coherent, musical thought, or if the Last Poets were white or if Zoogz Rift got electroshock therapy or something. The ending finds the protagonist opting for 'Needle Park' as opposed to the way of his other contemporaries, who 'eat the shotgun'."

I’m posting up the bonus track "Slip Away" for your listening pleasure. If you like it or already know ASS, then Armand Schaubroeck Steals - God Made The Blues To Kill Me!  10"/CD single ia available for $15.98 plus $6 s/h. Contact ASS at their facebook page or Mirror Records (Armand’s record label he runs out of the basement of his Rochester, NY House of Guitars).
