On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

The Big Cover-up, Part VII

Reviving an old series here, the Big Cover-up

After reading about the Flying Mojito Bros. over at A Few Good Times in My Life blog, I was listening to their Greatest Hits 1970-1983. They do a cover of  "Riders on the Storm"  that particularly caught my attention.

This reminded me that I had once shared a version of the same song by Infected Mushroom here before & went looking for it. It was on a share of their Legend of the Black Shawarma. Also on that same post I had shared A Psych Tribute to the Doors. I was vaguely aware of several Doors tribute albums I had encountered in the past & down the rabbit hole I went.

Stoned Immaculate: The Music of the Doors was the album I had remembered & wiki said there was Night Divides the Day: The Music of the Doors along with Light My Fire: A Classic Rock Salute to the Doors as well.

A quick browse of google showed there were many more (Electronic Tribute, A Tribute to Jim Morrison etc.... This got me wondering just how many cover versions of Doors songs might be floating around out there.

Well, it seems there are between 400 & 500 covers of Doors tunes (maybe more). So I decided to awaken a long sleeping series here at NSS...The Big-Cover-up & try  share some of my own choices. So enough of this ramble, on with the music...
