I have been a disciple of Tricky ever since Maxinquaye & his days with Massive Attack.
I've shared plenty of his mis-adventures in the past.
Here's his latest offering on False Idols under his birth name Adrian Thaws teaming up with musician/producer Michaël Theis.

Thank you for keeping the Muslimgauze love alive
DeleteStill a few untapped roots to sample. Coming up to the end (the present) for now.
DeleteSweetest of sweetness! Love Tricky and all related...been on that boat same time as you got on with same album. Cheers and no fears for the New Year 2025 Yoh!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for this, I haven't heard anything by Adrian Thaws/Massive Attack for a long time. You wouldn't happen to have Massive Attack's "Blue Lines" would you? Anyway, all the best in 2025!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBrian
Shared plenty of Massive Attack & Tricky in the past. Shared Shara Nelson's part of Blue Lines here (https://nathannothinsez.blogspot.com/2019/02/say-her-name-thoughts-of-you.html)
DeleteBlue Lines should be readily available elsewhere on the Interweb, But if you can't easily access it, let me know. I have it & can drop a link.
I'm with you on this: Tricky's one of those artists - like Mike Patton - who's excellent in every incarnation he comes up with. (A propos of which, have you got any M. Patton with which to treat us?)
ReplyDeleteI've shared these M. Patton gems in the past: Cathedral of Tears; of course all the OR-L releases on Mike’s Ipecac label; & Nathaniel Merriweather presents Lovage. I have some other great by our dear Mr. Bungle. Give me a few days.
