Two from Global Goon in June

 

Global Goon is none other than Merseyside born Jonathan Taylor aka Johnny Hawk now living in Liverpool. He is a proper Scouse, knocking down Scouse House of the Acid variety these days. His earlier releases were more Ambient IDM often linked to Liverpool dance culture centered around Club 051 & Buzz.  Global Goon started with Rephlex Records, helping  kickstart the braindance/IDM sound of the late 90s that was really taking off then.

In 2004 Johnny started the J-HOK records label to give local Liverpool talent a chance to shine.

Johnny sez:
        "It's  about pushing boundaries and making some proper good music. It's all about keepin' it real, keepin' it Scouse, and showin' the world what Liverpool's got to offer."
