On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Action Painting #98

V-3 was a lo-fi experimental rock band from Columbus,Ohio in the 1980s-90s led by underground legend Jim Shepard (formerly of Vertical Slit).

The album was released with a hand painted cover with paste on front/back cover slips. It was pressed at a slightly lowered volume level so you may want to crank it up.

V-3 sez:
"We would have just put 'play real loud' on the jacket, but that's simply a cheap ploy from another era..."

Here V-3 is: Jim Shepard - multi-instrumentalist, guitar; Leland Cain - bass; Al “Nudge Squidfish” Martin - songwriter, bass; Sam Brown  - multi-instrumentalist, drums; Rudy K. Smith - drums; David Mikula - drums.

Frontman Jim Shepard passed away in the late 1990s shortly after the group's demise, cementing their cult-legend status.
