Dubtember 21, Twenty-five

 

Kid Loco is Jean-Yves Prieur, French electronic musician, DJ, remixer, & producer born in Antony, Hauts-de-Seine, France. I first heard of Kid Loco from his trip-hop adjacent A Grand Love Story. On this one, Kid Loco once more calls on Soul Sugar (Guillaume Méténier).



As a all-around keyboard master, Soul Sugar has been featured on numerous Kid Loco productions for more than twenty years. From synthesizer to clavinet, from the Fender Rhodes to the Leslie organ, the "Funky Frenchman" is no stranger to any keyboard instrument.

Here the two decide to somehow Dub up the works of Kraftwerk. 

What a concept. Only on Echo Beach...

    Mein Gott!!! You've done it again - posted something I just can't wait to hear even if it turns out to be disappointing!! Kid Loco (who sauntered downhill after 'Kill Your Darlings') doing a rework of Kraftwerk (who pedalled downhill after Man Machine) inna Dub Stylee. Ça a l'air sympa, non? Merci beaucoup NØ.

    Hey dear Nathan been away from the intrnt for a while, busy times with my guiding job plus teaching at night at the univ in Calafate.
