That Petrol Emotion was a melting-pot band, a Northern Irish London-based group with US Steve Mack as vocaist.
The initial line-up featured Steve Mack - vocals, brothers Seán & Damian O’Neill (ex-members of the Derry band The Undertones) - guitar & bass respectively, Réamann Ó'Gormáin - guitar, & Claran McLaughlin - drums plus Geraint Watkins - accordion on this share. Their style was an eclectic blend of alternative rock, post-punk, garage rock, & electronic dance music that helped initiate the dance-pop era of the 1990s.
