On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Musick that Needed Work: T - Tweaker

Tweaker was a project formed in the late 90s by Chris Vrenna & Clint Walsh. Vrenna is probably most well known as the drummer for Nine Inch Nails, occasional drummer for Marilyn Manson (filling in for the injured Giner Fish) & most current Manson keyboardist (replacing Madonna Wayne Gacy). Walsh was guitarist for hire for numerous bands: Jack Off Jill; Shudder to Think; The Motels; & many more

.
The album The Attraction to All Things Uncertain was Vrenna's "solo" debut.  Clint Walsh played guitar but was not yet an "official" member of the band. David Sylvain, Wayne Kramer, Buzz Osbourne, Will Oldham, Mark Blasquez, DJ Swamp, & a host of others guested on this first release.

It was with Tweaker's follow-up album, 2 a.m. Wakeup Call, that Clint Walsh became a permanent member to the band. While Vrenna & Walsh again supplied most of the instruments & electronics, Robert Smith, David Sylvian, Daniel Ash, Will Oldham, Johnny Marr appeared as guest musicians & songwriters on this one...

  2. Totally unrelated, but I was looking at some other comments and I thought it couldn't hurt asking, but you don't have Snuffer by Live Skull do you? I loved that tape when I was young. Then I sold it in a mass tape selling episode to get credit at a music store. Such is life.

    1. Never hurts to ask, hawksmort. Bought the mini-album when it first came out on Caroline Records. Still cherished. Here goes:

    2. Wow! Thank you. I've been looking for this for a while. When that guitar line comes bubbling through about 14 seconds into "Face", it takes me back to the desolate feeling of being 16 or 17 in a small midwestern town. Driving around in winter and switching out the tape deck back and forth between Snuffer, Atomizer and Wire's On Returning comp. Waiting for the world to get better. Eventually it did get better, but this sure time travels me back like only music does.

    1. Try to make this place interesting enough as well as comfortable enough so that sharing becomes multi-tiered. My ideas stimulate your ideas which stimulate more of my ideas which stimulates...on & on it goes, hopefully, to the impleasurement of all. Thanks Richie, for adding your voice.
