Last Night I was listening to B.O.N.N. Apetit! by Bride of No No.
I started thinking about all the crazy music that Azita Youssefi has made over the course of her career. Azita Youssefi is probably most familiar to music lovers as the bassist & singer for Chicago No Wave revivalists Scissor Girl & the above mentioned Bride of No No.
That made me want to listen to AZ - Music for Scattered Brains. Azita recorded this, her first solo project, to be used as a part of her college thesis project. It was originally released on vinyl in 1995 on the SG Research label (SGR 001). This solo synthesizer album was recorded during the lull between SG & BONN.
AZ – Music for Scattered Brains re-issue, Atavistic ALP81CD, 1997.
