In March, my only theme is going to be pleasuring myself. Stay around if your not a prude. I will wash my hands on occasion.
I've stated before that I like to start off each new month with some musick from down Jamaica way. Since this month is all about pleasing myself, I'm doing just that.
I plucked the title of this post from Reggaemani, one of the handbooks of JA musick.
Greensleeves Records' Evolution of Dub series had over a number of years put the spotlight on key moments in the development of Dub. I am going to be posting two Volumes (4 CD sets each) on each of the next four posts. For all you ''Dub-heads'' out there, these are for you if you don't have. I'm not sure how long they'll stay up, so grab 'em while you can. & as always, enjoy.
Volume 1 - 2009 four CD release, the first in a series of box sets spotlighting key moments in the evolution of Dub. This set focuses on the roots of Dub bringing together many of the main players from Dub's big bang moments. Joe Gibbs' Serial Dub from 1973 is one of the true foundation stones of Dub, recorded at Randy's with Errol Thompson at the controls. The next three are crucial Dub box sets from King Tubby: Dub from the Roots (1974) & the Roots of Dub (1975), produced by Bunny Lee; & Dubbing with the Observer with Niney at the controls..

ReplyDeleteThanks & more coming.
ReplyDeletethis is very fine dub. if this is you pleasuring yourself, then feel free to keep going until your face and palms are crimson with shame.
ReplyDeleteMy face & palms are crimson But no shame, just pleasure. I'll keep stroking & I'll try to keep it rocking. Thanks for the comment.
DeleteHey, many thanks for these, I alredy picked up a couple pf albums with great expectations.
ReplyDeleteGood to know you're enjoying Duet Emmo as well.
Wire-wise I reccomend you too Githead and Immersion. Both are Colin Newman's groups with his darling Malka Spiegel (originally from great israeli group Minimal Compact).
If you didn't check them I sincerely hope you enjoy the trip.
Patagonic Cheers.
Still busy enjoying Or So It Seems.
DeleteFamiliar with Minimal Compact & have some Githead I'll have to give a listen. Don't think I've heard Immersion. Will search it out.
Thanks for all you do.
It must be said. You power out on Feb Femmes with Dax, Hendryx and del Rio, and then open March with this Pandora's Box? Ooh, the way you do the things you do! And I continue to love the storytelling as well. A beautiful blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you so kindly, for the words & taking the time to write them here. I'm just trying to spread a little fun. There are just so many good stories to be told
