While I was reviving some long lost Meltd0wn in August, I shared Muslimgaze's Port Said that I had originally shared on DM. You can find the original EP here.
Frenz of NSS Rob has been leaving links to various Muslimgauze in the comments of daily posts. If you are looking for anything from Muslimgauze, go back & check the comments & leave a thanks to Rob if you grab something.
There is a re-issue of Port Said from 2017 that contained the extensive Report Said as well. These are tracks commissioned by the record label, remixes of the original Muslimgauze tracks.
This is the rest of the Report...

This is a great share. I heard Bryn wasn't too fond of others remixing his work, yet I think he'd have been very proud of the work presented here. Each artist retains the original in some form, yet puts their own personal touches on them. I really like this release and was happy it was handled with loving care when it came out.
ReplyDeleteWondering if Rob has these to share, as they're about the only holes my my collection:
2007 - Muslimgauze vs Species Of Fishes (re-issue plus)
2011 - Muslimgauze vs The Rootsman - untitled 3"
2011 - E.G.Oblique Graph - 2 tracks 3"
Mooz,
DeleteI've got two of these but not the Rootsman 3"
E.g. Oblique Graph - 2 Tracks 3“

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, brother.
DeleteHi NØ, thanks for posting another Muslimgauze, and for flagging up Rob's links in the comments, which had completely passed me by! I think I've seen them all. And a big thank you to Rob, too, of course! My collection of Muslimgauze is actually a proper COLLECTION now! Hats off to you both ...
ReplyDeleteGlad to help fill in a COLLECTION. Thamks for the comment & the heads-up to Rob.

This will be all Muslimgauze for a period, we actually owe Luther Blissett credit, I am merely a conduit and passing along but he's taking a 2 week break, then some more I hope, stay tuned!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for all those uploads - looking forward for more!
ReplyDeleteLuther Blissett as in Q?
Quite possible. Luther Blissett is a multiple-use name informally adopted & shared by hundreds of artists / activists all over Europe & the Americas since 1994. Who knows who hides behind the Q?
DeleteThis is the Luther Blissett I'm familiar with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_(novel)
ReplyDeleteCan't recommend it too highly.
