On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

Diving into the K-Hole

Back in August 2015 I started working on things I had stashed in a folder marked "Musick that Needs Work". Needing work meant anything from cleaning up the sound to fixing the tags to getting the art work, whatever. I made it as far as letter J on May 11, 2018.

Finally looked under K & whoda thunk it???, here in the middle ground, under the unassuming letter K a plethora of releases needing my attention. One of these cropped up in this folder after this project began but I’m adding it in cuz it's great.  Fixed as well as I can. Let's start with one of my favorite Dubsters...

Next on the To-Do List

On November 3, 2007 I posted up a release Are You Seeking Truth‽ by Interrobang.  The music posted there has long since fallen by the wayside.

On the 11th of this month, B left the following comment:
"I am always seeking truth, and this post makes me feel closer to it than I have in a long time. The raw stuff of art, contrary to itself, paradoxically defined by its own definition, the proverbial chicken indelibly fused at the molecular level with the eponymous egg, in a state of perpetual self-annihilation... that's what this post (and quite possibly, this music) feels like to me. Dadaism is art at war with itself, though lacking the passionate finality that makes war such a despicable concept... it's nihilism done right, devoid of ego. I should like to think it's no coincidence that this... whatever it is... should speak to me so fluidly in absence of itself from the pages of a blog entitled "Nothin' Sez Somethin'". The links are long dead, and Google searches seem to reveal that you are the lone protector of this Interrobang project's legacy in the digital realm; in fact, you seem to be its last link to the possibility of its quantum realization as an aspect of public consciousness! While I realize that this is a heavy responsibility you've undertaken, I cannot help but humbly request this project's re-up, if at all possible. Without even having heard this material, some arcane force within my molecules is telling me that it's not ready to re-assimilate itself into the nothing/something from which it sprang... not yet! I'm in your debt, should you ever find time to resurrect this, and please know that your writing is the catalyst that sparked my need to hear it. Thank you...- B"

Who could not respond to that?  Not this spudboy. Here is the original in its fullness, followed by a special unreleased CD that I happen to have.

Invertabrae

invert - to turn upside down, to reverse the order, position, direction
a - in, into, on, at, to (in the act or state of), off, of
brae - a sloping hillside

invertabrae - have no backbone

a reversal of the order, or direction (cycle, patterns) of a sloping bank

concept - paradigm is inherent - in everything

turn it upside down - “invertabrae”
reverse the order “invert a brae”
change the position “inverta brae”

up the hill, just to slide down again
fulfill the cycle, “invertabrae” brings it full circle

lose yourself, before you find yourself
a concept that re-emerges its self

we are all part of it “inverta brae”
we all take part in it “ invertabrae”
in the act of “ invert a brae”
in the state of “ invertabrae”

forget what you have learned
to see what you have really retained
change your information
turn your situation upside down
reverse the order, position , direction
of your “inverta brae”
we all endure “ invert a brae”
we all return to “ invertabrae

I’ve Been Remiss...but Now I’m in Remission

Reuploaded by request 06/08/2026

Caught with my pants down over Mori. I have previously professed my undying love of Ikue Mori & all things Morimusikal. Yet somehow I slid this set on to the back burner from whence after a time it ended up buried in the mountainous heap of dirty dishes.

Way back in December of 2007 I posted up another no-wave offering. This time in the form of DNA. In April 2017 came the first request to post up DNA On DNA that I had mentioned in the by then ten year old post...again from another commenter March 2019...then lastly June this. Well here goes.

A smoldering slab of some 32 tracks of DNA no-wave goodness.

(I’ve included a few other gems of twisted double-helix to pay for the cost of failure on this blogger’s part...A Taste of DNA, which are tracks 7 - 12 on DNA On DNA, but here from the original vinyl & Last Live at CBGBs, of which only tracks 31 - 32 are included on DNA On DNA)

Dub is a Dangerous Mighty Weapon of Restoration

Re-uploaded by request of TheeMostHigh, TheeRevLouCifer 08/07/2026

Right now I'm lissen' to Spotify. On-U Sound Recordings mix by Milo, some 1026 tracks of ON-U SOUNDZ! boyo.  Just heard Gary Clail "Beef" & right now it's "Ravi Shankar" by Dub Syndicate.

I've just gone through a great upheaval . I decided my life had become stagnant. That didn't really set well with me. I'm not really that kinda guy. Yet life has a way of happening to us. It is life, after-all. It can sweep us away. As the Kinkster sez, "Raking the dead leaves of the past is evil yard work."

I'm making a new beginning. I could not have done either the Bump or the Glide without DUB.

So for jahtorx, I have chosen to address your request for On-U Sound.

I have to admit that I have been a total ass in the past. I have entirely overlooked posting The New Age Steppers. They are so a part of my heart of DUB that I guess it was as if I couldn't see the forest for the trees. I am gonna take care of that right now (& thanks jahtorx, there is more On-U after this...different universe).

Starting at the beginning, with my apologies for any delay. The great...

I am so gloriously high right now as I scratch out these silly little syllables. My mind has so many things to say, so many ways to go. It's hard to pick a direction. I've decide to shit-can the stuff I already hammered out & start again.  I want to touch on my travels but that wound is still too painful. I just want to play some musick. I took the tincture before deciding to add the RSO so the dosage is over the top. I'm flipping between dimensions as fast as Buckaroo Bonzai...

Heading East

I have traversed this continent many times in the past. Most often when I was younger. Driving, busing, flying, & hitchhiking. In fact the last time I hitched, I decided I had done the cross-country shuffle so often that I hitched up to Seattle, caught the Frazier River Canyon train as far as Banff, Alberta, hitched across Canada to Toronto, grabbed a Greyhound into Buffalo, then hitched southward to Hicksville, USA.

As I've aged I've became more & more sedentary, traveling less & less, mostly for family events or emergencies, birth or death. I guess I had lost touch with the whole process until we decided to displace ourselves & move back to my birthplace.

I chose Interstate 80 as the most direct & expeditious route. I knew from past experience that it's not the most scenic of routes, but little did I know that it is now primarily a trucking highway. Private vehicles are outnumbered by 18 wheelers about 100 to 1. Our journey became mad dashes between vegan restaurants & modernized roadside rest stops.

The biggest surprise was finding the Sweet Melissa Restaurant, 213 S 1st Street, Laramie Wyoming. Not only was this a world-shaking surprise in cowboy hat/six-shooter wearing Wyoming, but also it is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at, & that's high praise from a Cali veg-head.

In honor of this superb find & special occasion, I'm posting up something relatively new, but the one piece of musick that helped me the very most on my journey, like Sweet Melissa Restaurant & Sweet Mary Jane.

The most fun we had aside from eating was playing a variety game we made up visiting the deluge of rest stops along I-80 (ya have to stay hydrated, but if ya do, then ya gotta stop a lot...it's a fine line).

Nebraska has rest areas.

Indiana I-80 is a toll-road. They don't want you to have to get off & on paying needless tolls, theirs are travel plazas with gas & food thrown in.

The most unbelievable were the Iowa art-walk rest stops. They have tiled bathrooms & art galore.

Here's art galore from On-U Sound founder, mix-master, & daddy...

Little did I know that time zones are time portals. I always thought that as I traveled east through the various zones I lost an hour each. I hadn't realized that I went backwards in years as well. I am now living at least twenty years in the west coast past. It is a very temporally disorienting adjustment, not all bad, mind you, but very, very strange. They are just coming into the twenty-first century in many ways. It's taken quite a bit of adjustment & a great deal of online ordering just to keep in vegan basics. It has caused us to begin making our own vegan cheez & plant-based meat substitutes (as well as breads, tortillas, pickled veggies, nut butters, & many more of our staples). So as I said, not all bad, just strange.

Closing down the rodeo for a couple months. Relocating back to the right coast, to my natal native soil of Penns Woods. I’ll check in occasionally & try to address any issues, but I'm leaving you with this.

Some flicks, TeeVee, & books to fill in your time 'til I return. My tastes in other forms of entertainment may seem as outré as my taste in music, but give 'em a try if you know 'em or not. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is Eddie’s House, Junior

Just got back from getting my first Covid vaccination.

Not really sure what I'm feeling about it all. It should mean somethin' but as usual, nothin'. It all seems so...kinda strange. With everything we've all been going through since early last year, perhaps I'm not really aware of how numb I've become. But it's more than that. It's like it's some...odd deja vu. Like I already saw this moment happening but I have no inkling of what comes next. But I ramble on...it's probably just the drug...been listening to "Death Letter" too much...

February 28

Always thought it weird that Black History Month was given February (yeah, Abraham Lincoln & Frederick Douglass' birthdays), the shortest month of all. Systemic racism or just my pessimism? Last day of the month, thought I'd post up all my leftovers.
