I've got the vinyl box set on a shelf behind. It's a beautiful set but had haven't played it for years. Had no idea there was a CD version. This is gonna be playing here for a week at least.
ReplyDeleteGrabbin’ the mp3s saves wear on the old vinyl. Hope they sound all right. Thanks.

DeleteGrandmaster Flash & the Furious Five were definitely a revelation. Don’t really understand why rap deteriorated into who has the biggest gat, the biggest dick or the most bitches???
ReplyDeleteLloyd Barnes (Bullwackie) used to do DanceHall Sound System in NYC about the time of Sugar Hill. Finally gave up the Sound System & build Wackies studio because he said he would come home from gigs & have to pull slugs from the speaker coverings. Guess that some people just have to ruin a good thing.
