On any post, if the link is no longer good, leave a comment if you want the music re-uploaded. As long as I still have the file, or the record, cd, or cassette to re-rip, I will gladly accommodate in a timely manner all such requests.

MrDave, MrDave

December 2021 I gifted a group of FRENZ of NSS by honoring their Brumalia requests. MrDave had his usual audacity (not the music editing capitol A kind) & took some wishes from others who weren't using theirs (he even claimed one of the bands were his college friends), so I gifted him six artists (greedy little bugger). The first gift was Bill Fay, here.

Now Bill Fay returns with the third 2xCD release in the celebrated second phase of his recording career entitled Countless Branches. A prime Fay song is a deceptively simple thing which carries more emotional weight than its conciseness or brevity might imply. There are ten of these musical haikus on Countless Branches CD1 & seven bonus tracks on the deluxe editions CD2. These songs are as pointed & as poignant as anything Bill's ever recorded in his decades long career (it's been more than 50 years since he cut his classic albums Bill Fay [1970] & Time of the Last Persecution [1971]).

  2. Paging MrDave to the white courtesy blogophone...

I've heard that if you type his name three times fast, his reflection appears in your mirror. I don't dare to try it.

    1. So is white courtesy phone a racial stereo?

Maybe Nathan knew the legend & only said it twice.
