Continuing onward with a project I've been dabbling in for some time, let's have some more Glasgow noise, nearly. Nearing the end of an era.
This month I'm sharing his excellency, Archbishop Kebab. This was an avant-hardcore collective formed around 1986, actually from Edinburgh, but they were a part of the Glasgow noise scene, closely aligned with Dog Faced Hermans, Badgewearer, & Dawson, each of which I have shared previously in this series. Together for about 13 years, they produced five full-length releases during their span.
Here is their first...
Side A -
Murdoch to the Max
Archbishop Attack
Copper Woman
Holli Kapolli!
Where's the Spice?
Shite Life
New Technology Boy
Side B -
Clause Out
Money Eyes Blind
Progress
Burst the Bubble
& their third...
Archbishop Kebab - Beyond Ma Ken, Trotter Records, 1993.
Scenic
Headrunrunaround
Jesus Sends Hate Mail
Altruist
Another Black Eye
Rotating
Finding Our Voices
Bronze Mountains Rise
Pride
Too Drunk Too Punk
Tarnished
Humosection
Get Wise
Animal Song
Telethon
Total Bodyswerve
Old Souls
& their last...
Archbishop Kebab - Bellyhunting, Zoriac Prod 003, 1997.
Skeleton Woman
Gender Bender
Shame on You
Money Matters
Two Hags & a Fish
Fuckoffski
Rubble Trouble
Silk Lined Pocket
Bellyblind
Her Heart
Lifescape
Hocus Pocus
Up Against the Madness
Frenzy
Enjoy,
NØ

Thank you 🙏 I am a long-time fan of the DFH, Dawson, The Ex, etc. circle of bands & this one was new to me
ReplyDelete& speaking of skronk, have you covered Blurt here before?
I dig Blurt but have not shared them yet. Will check my files to see what I have. I have share Dawson several times, Stretchheads, Badgewearer, & many of their ilk in the past. Check'em out if you haven't. Thanks for the comment.
DeleteI'd not heard of this lot either. What a fantastic racket! Thank you!
