It's interesting how things started to open up (or fell apart?) after '84 -- up until then it seems like people who liked similar music to me had listened to and/or owned many of the same albums as me. I could be reasonably sure anyone with "good" musical tastes (haha) had listened to and probably owned Zen Arcade and Double Nickels for example. I have an 80% match with your 84 albums just like your 82-83 albums (I didn't discover Lee Perry until the 90s) but I was only familiar with a couple of your 85 albums and still don't own all of those now. I imagine as the timeline progresses there will be a similar divergence despite my voracious and ever expanding musical appetite then (and now) -- there was just so much music coming out then maybe due to a growing number of labels feeding new styles of independent music? I'm finding this series of chronological Naterock album dumps very interesting -- thanks!
